Michael A. Gordon – Executive Director
Michael has been with Sunset House since 2000, and was the guiding force behind the transition from halfway house to state-licensed residential treatment facility that occurred in 2001. Since that time, he has overseen numerous improvements to the Sunset House program that include increased fundraising efforts, expansion of clinical services, and facility upgrades. Michael maintains contact with supporters, donors, and alumni both in the local area and throughout the country to continually improve the Sunset House Program. With over 15 years of experience in the non-profit business sector, he is well equipped to manage such a unique institution.

Bridgette S. Hampton, MD. - Medical Director
Dr. Hampton received her medical degree from University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine. She did her undergraduate training at University of Oklahoma in Norman Oklahoma. There she graduated with Honors in Microbiology. Dr. Hampton completed her Internship and residency in Internal Medicine at University Of Missouri at Kansas City in 1995. She has practiced here in Palm Beach County since then. Dr. Hampton was Board Certified in 2007, She is licensed in the state of Florida as a medical doctor. Over the years she has integrated some holistic modes of treatment with the traditional allopathic methods. She believes the doctor should help guide the patient to best treatment options and looks forward of being of service to her patients.
Ryan Potter, MCAP, LCSW - Clinical Director
Ryan Potter has worked in the field of addiction and mental health since 2005. In that time, Ryan has held a variety of positions within residential and outpatient treatment programs. Ryan received his master’s degree from Florida State University in clinical social work, and is credentialed as a Certified Addictions Professional in the state of Florida. Ryan utilizes evidence-based practices with his clients, providing them individualized treatment that has been proven to work.
Darren Platt, CRRA - Program Director
Darren Platt has been dedicated to those entering substance abuse treatment for over three years. Having held positions as Program Director at many local treatment facilities, Darren continues to find innovative and personal ways to reach those who are attempting to better themselves. Managing day-to-day operations of the facility and consulting with clients and staff, alike, his goal is bring a comprehensive and sound approach to treating drug and alcohol addiction.
