Sunset House Welcomes New Clinical Director Bridget Heady

Sunset House Inc. Board of Directors and staff welcomed their new Clinical Director, Bridget Heady, LMHC, to the organization earlier this month. Heady, of BLH Psych Services, succeeds former Clinical Director Ryan Potter, LCSW. Heady will lead the Sunset House clinical team in their efforts to help men who wish to recover from chemical and/or alcohol dependency by providing the structure and support necessary to achieve both meaningful sobriety and independent living.

“Sunset House has many opportunities for growth right now, and we need a leader who understands both the organization and the substance abuse recovery industry,” stated Michael Gordon, Executive Director.  “Bridget is the right person to guide the Sunset House and nurture important relationships.”

Over the last decade, Ms. Heady has worked with organizations to achieve the highest standards of service and quality assurance within the field. Ms. Heady received a BS in Psychology and a MS in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. In 2012, Heady became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has continued to maintain her certifications.

As a DCF licensed, Joint Commission accredited, 501(c) 3 organization, Sunset House strives to help all men achieve lasting recovery by giving them the tools, opportunities and education necessary to gradually increase personal responsibility while transitioning to a better tomorrow…addiction free. Their four phase program gradually increases independence among clients through clinical intervention and evidenced-based practices; while, their client centered and strength-based perspective affords clients the support needed to function as a productive member of their community.

“Our program focuses on personal responsibility, spiritual growth, and therapeutic modality that, when combined with structured living and care, addresses each individual’s unique needs,” says Matthew Snyder, Program Director. “We’re very excited to have Bridget joining the team and are eager for her to help Sunset House provide an even higher standard of care.”

Sunset House celebrated its 22nd year of service on September 6, 2018.
